How far could you travel on the CO2 locked up by West Fraser each year?

What does net carbon negative mean exactly?

Let’s start with carbon neutral. Simply put, this means that an activity releases net zero carbon emissions into the atmosphere. The next best thing is net carbon negative! This means that an activity goes beyond achieving net zero carbon emissions to actually create an environmental benefit by removing additional carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

We are proud to say that all West Fraser panel products are net carbon negative. We lock up a huge 1.18 million tonnes of CO2e every year.  That’s the equivalent to a staggering 439,844,135 litres of diesel. This amount would power an average new car for over 6.7 billion miles or 26,865 journeys to the moon and back!  Alternatively, if you want to stay closer to home you could drive around the world 269,724 times.  Now, that’s a dizzying thought!
