‘Tis the season to be thankful

As we round up a challenging year, the usual Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year wishes are doing the rounds; yet we are all noticing a slightly different feel about them.  Anyone, or any organisation, needs to use a little imagination this Yuletide and consider the mood a little more; just as we have all had to do this year. 

With any “luck”, we have become a people, an industry, a country, a world, which is more in tune with, and more aware of, the “human” side of life – haven’t we? As such, we should all be supremely grateful if we have reached the end of this tumultuous year with our health, our family’s health and our business health intact. And we are, so maybe the “’tis the season to be jolly” words don’t quite hit the mark today.

With a little nod to the tricky year, we decided to send a very big thank you instead!

Norbord has been helped through these times thanks to staff, customers, and suppliers alike. We are truly fortunate to have such an impressive “team” structure and any hurdles that have been put in our path, and everyone has had them, have been met with understanding and, for that, we want to say thank you!

We have had a great year in terms of initiatives and are happy to say that we have rounded it off with our Carbon Negative status announcement Carbon negative – Norbord. 2021 will see the development of this message and how our customers and suppliers will benefit. It is a hot topic – you only have to google it or listen to the conversations and government directives – and one that we are proud to have excelled in.

We are looking forward to 2021 with eyes wide open to the challenges it will bring. Our team of BDM’s is always on hand – and visible now across all social media channels and up for Zoom anytime! – to help you with any projects, ideas or challenges you may have as our customer.

So, here’s to a healthy, safe and buoyant New Year for all of us!
